ACHIEVEMENT #1 ˇ As a petroleum specialist, SPC Jones performed the duties of HAZCOM. He organized and put into effect a petroleum storage and issue facility, a collection point for hazardous materials. His actions cleared the way for base units to comply with OSHA standards for the first time. ˇ ˇ ˇ |

ACHIEVEMENT #2 ˇ In addition to his duties as a petroleum specialist for the motor pool, SPC Jones contributed his knowledge of his secondary MOS to help perform and assist in the completion of over 200 services. SPC Jones also volunteered to perform many inspections under the motor pool's Quality Assurance program. ˇ ˇ ˇ |

ˇ As a Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic, SPC Jones did an outstanding job of performing and assisting on over 200 vehicle services and repairs. His repairs produced the best sustainment rate in 3 years. ˇ ˇ |

21. PROPOSED CITATION While deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, as a petroleum specialist, SPC Jones immediately saw the need and established the first hazardous waste collection point bringing order and better working conditions to a chaotic environment. In addition to his regular duties, SPC Jones aided the Vehicle Maintenance shop in the repair and service of over 220 critical vehicles. His valiant efforts produced the lowest vehicle breakdown rate in three years.
