18Z SF Company SGM
Company Sergeant Major of a Special Forces Company comprised of a Special Forces Operational Detachment - Bravo (SFOD-B) and six Special Forces Operational Detachments - Alpha (SFOD-A); advises the Commander on enlisted matters; sets standards and enforces policies, regulations, and directives; responsible for the health, discipline, morale, and welfare within the Special Forces Company; supervises, instructs and serves as the senior enlisted member for SF activities; trains and maintains proficiency in all major duties associated with Special Forces; performs joint, combined and coalition planning and supervises operations for higher headquarters, major commands; performs senior leadership, staff, and training functions within Special Forces; coaches and trains SFOD-A Operations Sergeants, supervises their professional development, and advises on their personnel assignments; facilitates the talent management of all Soldiers across the command and acts as the Commander's representative in supervising aspects vital to company operations.




18Z5O-J35 FUOPS SGM
Serves as NCOIC of the Joint Future Operations and Plans center of the Combined Forces Special Operations Component Command-Afghanistan, a one star SOF HQ; serves as subject matter expert and advises the Chief of Future Operations on plans, operations and execution of future operations in support of USCENTCOM and USSOCCENT that support OEF and the GWOT; oversees the forecast of resources and develops plans of action with national level counterparts at ISAF, CSTC-A and the Afghan Government; coordinates and supervises the performance of duties associated with the management and leadership of all operational level planning personnel.




Team Sergeant
Serves as the Team Sergeant for a Special Forces Operational Detachment-Alpha (SFOD-A) specializing in Military Freefall (MFF) with the mission of conducting Special Operations in support of USNORTHCOM, USSOUTHCOM and USCENTCOM theater objectives; supervises, plans, leads and advises U.S. and Partner Nation forces in the conduct of tactical and strategic operations during Foreign Internal Defense (FID), Direct Action (DA), Unconventional Warfare (UW), and Special Reconnaissance (SR) in English and Spanish languages; mentors and professionally develops all subordinates; supervises all detachment training; advises the commander on all operational, administrative and personnel matters; plans and executes joint and combined operations.




Operations Sergeant
Serves as the Detachment Operations Sergeant responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Detachment; advises the Detachment commander on operations and training matters; provides leadership, tactical and technical guidance, and professional support to subordinate NCOs; with commander's guidance, assigns and supervises the performance of Detachment tasks; prepares plans, orders, and reports, and oversees individual and collective training; prepares the operations and training portions of area studies, brief-backs, OPLANs, CONOPS, and OPORDs; organizes, trains, assists, directs, and leads indigenous forces up to battalion size.




SF Company Sergeant Major
Supervises, instructs and serves as the senior enlisted member for SF activities; trains and maintains proficiency in all major duties associated with Special Forces; performs administrative, operational and training duties during task organization of the company in mission preparation (isolation) and during operations; performs joint, combined and coalition planning and supervises operations for higher headquarters, major commands; performs senior leadership, staff, and training functions within Special Forces.




Senior Enlisted Member
Supervises, instructs and serves as the senior enlisted member for SF activities; performs joint, interagency, multi-national, combined and coalition planning; supervises operations for higher headquarters, major commands and joint commands; performs senior leadership, staff and training functions within Special Forces; ensures detachment's preparedness for short notice deployments to contingency areas, in peace or war, to conduct a wide range of operations including unconventional warfare, direct action, and special reconnaissance.




Platoon Sergeant
Serves as the maintenance Platoon Sergeant for the Group Service Support Company (GSSC); supervises the personnel readiness, maintenance, and utilization of assets for 52 Soldiers, NCOs and Warrant officers; provides combat service support for over 300 major end items and more than 700 pieces of special equipment valued in excess of $20 million; plans, develops, and executes the training of paratroopers in 15 unique MOS fields spread across four dynamic sections; ground maintenance, armament repair, electronic maintenance, and maintenance control shop.
