MOS 25H was established in October 2022 and consists of former occupational specialties 25L, 25N, and 25Q.

25H4O Network Operations NCOIC
Oversees vital aspects of network operations focusing on training, protocol development, communication exercises, maintenance, and security; supervises the installation, operation, and maintenance of network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and wireless equipment; manages nodal operations, ensuring continuous, reliable communications for command posts and tactical units; directs a team of specialized personnel, coordinates logistics support, and compiles operational reports to support mission readiness; maintains network integrity and facilitates effective information exchange critical to mission success.


Network Communication Systems Specialist
Maintains all LAN/WAN/VPN network hardware and software, security systems and communication links; manages all clients network LAN/WAN hardware including routers, switches, load balancers and wireless networking equipment; supervises and performs nodal operations functions; supervises the installation, operation, deployment, provisioning, and maintenance of WIN-T nodal assemblages, combat NET radios and all related COMSEC devices; disseminates network orders, compiles and submits operational statistics reports and processes requests for logistic support.


Information Systems Staff NCO
Serves as the Battalion Information Systems Staff NCO for an operational based strategic Signal Battalion, which provides baseline Information Technology services to theater C4 infrastructure in five communities spanning over 20,000 square miles, containing over 70% of USAREUR's combat power and over 40% of all USAREUR Forces and IMCOM-E direct reporting units; as the Battalion Liaison, plans and manages direct exercise support to USAREUR, United States European Command (EUCOM), 7th Army Joint Multinational Simulations Center and 7th Tactical Theater Signal Brigade; responsible for the health, welfare, training and families of two Soldiers.


Technical Advisor and Assistant Team Chief
Serves as technical advisor and assistant team chief for the installation, operation, employment, and field level maintenance of electronic IP-based nodal assemblages and associated equipment; performs and assists subordinate operators in nodal and COMSEC operations, associated computer and software related technical tasks; interprets orders and compiles system statistics for the shift and node; assists in reconfiguration of IP-based nodal systems equipment as needed; implements Network Operations Center generated changes to support operational requirements; responsible for a team of 6 Soldiers and over $1,000,000 worth of equipment.





Senior Cable/Antenna Systems Installer
Serves as a Senior Cable Systems Installer in an Expeditionary Signal Battalion that provides command and control for FORSCOM; primarily responsible for installing, operating and performing maintenance on cable wire communications systems, communication security devices and associated devices; supervises performance of unit level maintenance and accountability for one HMMWV; responsible for training, mentoring and welfare of three Soldiers; responsible for equipment valued at $500,000.


Cable Antenna Systems Supervisor
Serves as a Cable Antenna Systems Supervisor for the XXX Signal Company; provides direct supervision on maintenance and repairs for Outside Plant (OSP) facility, Long Haul Transmission Fiber Optic Cable over 100 miles, throughout 459 manholes on USAG XXXX and coordinates activities of personnel to meet workload demands; supports numerous facilities in BASE X, BASE Y and Digital Microwave Upgrade(DMU) relay sites throughout Area of Operations; maintains Armed Forces Network (AFN) amplitude modulation (AM), frequency modulation (FM) transmission systems.


Senior Cable Antenna System Splicer
Serves as the Senior Cable Antenna System Splicer for a forward deployed Combat Aviation Brigade consisting of five battalions; Coordinates and supervises team members activities in the construction, installation, and recovery of cable and wire communications systems in support of a Brigade Joint Operations Center (JOC) and one Command Post Node (CPN); performs tests on cable communications systems to ensure circuit and system quality; tests circuits/groups to detect, locate, and repair line faults; responsible for the health, welfare, and morale of one NCO and one soldier.





Senior Nodal Network Operator-Maintainer
Senior Nodal Network Operator-Maintainer for a rapidly deployable Cavalry Signal Intelligence & Sustainment Company in support of 1st Cavalry Division Headquarters; responsible for providing continuous, reliable communications for the Division Tactical Command Post; ensures the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of two Tactical Communication Nodes (TCN), four generators valued in excess of 4 million dollars; responsible for the health, welfare, morale, and training of 5 Soldiers.


Nodal Network Operator Maintainer
Supervises, installs, configures, and operates Nodal networks in garrison and in the field; performs field level maintenance on IP-based electronic nodal systems, network control centers, network management facilities, and associated multiplexing and subscriber interface equipment; programs and troubleshoots associated encryption and Communications Security (COMSEC) devices; performs network management functions in support of maintaining, troubleshooting and reconfiguring nodal assets as needed in support of operational requirements; maintains over $30,000 in bench stock and spare parts.





Multichannel Transmission Systems Operator Maintainer
Supervises operations and assists team members in the installation and operation of multichannel High Capacity Line of Site (HCLOS) systems, tropospheric scatter communications systems, Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Transportable Terminals (STT) (TDMA/NCW only), Secure Mobile Anti-Jam Reliable Tactical Terminals (SMART-T) and Tactical Relay Towers (TRT); supervises, performs and assists team members in the performance of field and unit level maintenance on assigned communications equipment; requests logistical support; prepares input for statistical and other operational reports.


Senior Transmission Systems Operator
Serves as a senior transmission systems operator in a signal intelligence sustainment company, Headquarters and Headquarters battalion, 2d Infantry Division that provides and defends rapidly deployable, secure and nonsecure voice, data, and visual communications (C4) support to U.S.-ROK alliance; supervises the installation, operation, and maintenance of two utility expanded capacity (M1152A1), one expandable van wo/winch (M1087A1), two AN/TRC-190 (v)3 (HCLOS), one power generator 60kw unit (MEP-816B), and supporting equipment of cambium and combined operational v-sat network valued in excess of $4,000,000; responsible for the health, welfare, training and professional development of one NCO and one soldier.


Senior Transmission Systems Operator
Serves as a senior transmission systems operator in an expeditionary signal company that provides and defends rapidly deployable, secure and nonsecure voice, data, and visual communications (C4) support to joint and combined operatins worldwide; supervises the installation, operation, and maintenance of one Command Post Node (CPN), one AN/TRC-190 (v)1, one AN/TSC-167 (v)2 satellite transportable trailer (STT), one M1038 troop carrier, one PU-798 power generation unit, and support equipment valued in excess of $4,000,000; responsible for the health, welfare, training and professional development of one NCO and four soldiers.


Senior Transmission Systems Operator Maintainer
Serves as a Senior Transmission Systems Operator and Maintainer in a Rotational Combined Arms Battalion assigned to the 2nd Infantry Division; supervises the integration of the Battalion's tactical network using the WIN-T architecture including the installation, operation and maintenance on over 100 pieces pertaining to the command post node (CPN), satellite tactical terminal (STT), and the high capacity line-of-sight (HCLOS) radio set; responsible for the maintenance and accountability of all assigned equipment valued in excess of $2,000,000.00; responsible for the training, mentoring, safety, health and well-being of five Soldiers.


High Capacity Line of Site (HCLOS) Team Chief
Serves as the High Capacity Line of Site (HCLOS) Team Chief; supervises, installs, maintains, and troubleshoots signal support for the Joint Network Node (JNN); provides technical assistance and unit level training for automation systems and automated telecommunications systems to include link installation and troubleshooting; responsible for the health and welfare of two Soldiers; prepares maintenance and supply requests for platoon level signal support; assists in the accountability and management of consolidated resources and communications equipment valued in excess of 1,075,000 dollars.


STT/CPN Team Chief
Serves as a Satellite Transmission Terminal (STT)/ Command Post Node (CPN) Team Chief in support of the 1st Manuever Enhancement Brigade; supervises, installs, maintains and troubleshoots signal equipment for the CPN; provides technical assistance, unit level training for automation systems and automated telecommunications systems to include link installation and troubleshooting; prepares equipment and supply requests for platoon level signal support; responsible for the health and welfare of six Soldiers and their families; assists in the accountability and serviceability of consolidated resources and communications equipment valued in excess of $1,200,000.


Transmission System Team Leader
Serves as the High Capacity Line of Site (HCLOS) Team Chief; supervises, installs, maintains, and troubleshoots signal support for the Joint Network Node (JNN); provides technical assistance and unit level training for automation systems and automated telecommunications systems to include link installation and troubleshooting; responsible for the health and welfare of two Soldiers; prepares maintenance and supply requests for platoon level signal support; assists in the accountability and management of consolidated resources and communications equipment valued in excess of 1,075,000 dollars.


Transmission System Operator/Maintainer
Serves as a Transmission System Team Chief in an Expeditionary Signal Battalion; supervises the installation, operation and maintenance of one AN/TRC-190(V)1 High Capacity Line Of Sight (HCLOS) Radio Shelter, one AN/TSC-167 Satellite Transportable Terminal (STT), one PU-797(10K) Generator set and two HMMWVs; responsible for the health, welfare and training of four Soldiers; assimiliates and reports network statistics; responsible for the accountability of network equipment valued in excess of $1.2 million.


Senior Transmission System Operator Maintainer
Serves as a Senior Transmission System Operator Maintainer in an Expeditionary Signal Company of an Expeditionary Signal Battalion; installs, operates and performs maintenance on communication subsystems, communications security devices; responsible for the training, mentorship, and welfare of five Soldiers; responsible for two vehicles and signal support equipment in a value of $2 million; plans, coordinates, configures and direct the installation; maintenance; and management of tactical satellite communication system for command and control in support of HQDA, FORSCOM.





MOS 25H—Network Communication Systems Specialist (Net Com Sys Spec), CMF 25 (Army Civilian Acquired Skills Program (ACASP) designated MOS) (Effective 202210)

a. Major duties. The Network Communication Systems Specialist supervises, installs, operates and performs limited field level maintenance on commercial and tactical fiber, cabling and wiring, IP based high speed electronic nodal systems, integrated network control centers, network management facilities, associated multiplexing and subscriber interface equipment, multichannel line-of-site systems and associated relays, tropospheric scatter communications systems, tactical terrestrial satellite communication systems, anti-jam reliable tactical terminals, communications security (COMSEC) devices, and associated equipment; performs network management functions in support of maintaining, troubleshooting, and reengineering of associated network assets in support of operational requirements; installs, operates, performs strapping/re-strapping, Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), and field level maintenance on COMSEC devices; operates and performs PMCS on assigned vehicles, power generators and equipment. Duties for MOS 25H at each level of skill are:

(1) MOSC 25H1O. Installs, operates, repairs and performs limited field level maintenance on commercial and tactical fiber, cabling and wiring, IP based high speed electronic nodal systems, integrated network control centers, network management facilities, associated multiplexing and subscriber interface equipment, multichannel line-of-site systems and associated relays, tropospheric scatter communications systems, tactical terrestrial satellite communication systems, anti-jam reliable tactical terminals, COMSEC devices, and associated equipment; uses computers and software tools to perform system/network operations and analyze BIT/BITE diagnostics to isolate faults.

(2) MOSC 25H2O. Supervises and performs as team leader or team member, in the installation, operation, employment, and limited field level maintenance on commercial and tactical fiber, and cabling and wiring; coordinates remote trunking operations; updates line route maps and overlays, IP based high speed electronic nodal systems, integrated network control centers, network management facilities, associated multiplexing and subscriber interface equipment, multichannel line-of-site systems and associated relays, tropospheric scatter communications systems, tactical terrestrial satellite communication systems, anti-jam reliable tactical terminals, COMSEC devices, and associated equipment; interprets orders and compiles system statistics for the shift and node; assists in reconfiguration of IP based nodal systems equipment as needed; requests logistical support for teams or shifts; implements network operations center generated changes to support operational requirements.

(3) MOSC 25H3O. Supervises and performs complex and multifaceted nodal operations functions; supervises and coordinates all phases of construction, recovery, repair and maintenance of commercial and tactical fiber, cabling and wiring, and associated multiplexing, reeling and testing equipment; supervises the installation, operation, deployment, provisioning and maintenance of electronic IP based nodal assemblages, combat net radios and all related COMSEC devices; disseminates network orders, compiles and submits operational statistics reports and processes requests for logistic support; coordinates, integrates and controls the operation of IP based nodal systems with associated transmission systems and local subscriber interface equipment; performs network operations center tasks for planning, reconfiguration and employment of nodal systems equipment; ensures contingency operations plans and nodal routing subsystems are correctly maintained in nodal databases to reflect current operational scenarios; troubleshoots complex system faults, supervises or corrects failures to meet system availability and reliability standards; interprets, disseminates and implements network changes/reconfigurations affecting nodal network architecture operations; conducts technical, operational and maintenance training of subordinates on operational equipment and procedures.

(4) MOSC 25H4O. Plans, coordinates, and supervises installation, operation, maintenance, and management of network communication systems, including radio, tactical satellite terminals, switching, cable, and automation equipment; supervises the installation, operation, strapping, re-strapping, preventive maintenance checks and field level maintenance on COMSEC devices; directs restoration, and alternate routing of circuits, trunks, links, and systems. Develops and implements field level signal maintenance programs; provides operational and technical assistance to subordinates and commanders; verifies frequency operational requirements, network communication systems service requests, and disseminates operations information to ensure command and control communications connectivity; requests and ensures appropriate logistical support is available at all times; assimilates and reports system/network statistics; develops and implements training programs for Signal personnel; uses computers to process operational and administrative information; operates system control facilities as part of Signal organization management functions.

(5) MOSC 25H5O. Plans, directs, supervises and manages the installation, operation, and maintenance of Signal support functions within the provided network enclaves, to include coordinating the resolution of communication difficulties within Army operated Signal systems and networks, and between Army, Joint, Defense and commercial telecommunications activities; develops and enforces field level Signal maintenance programs, policies, and procedures; plans and coordinates logistic support for command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) network operations; provides operational and technical assistance to commanders and subordinate units/elements; performs Signal staff functions and coordinates Signal activities with higher, lower and adjacent headquarters; prepares and maintains reports, records, and operational databases used to conduct operations in both tactical and strategic environments.
