Duty Descriptions

Wheeled Vehicle/Stryker Mechanic
Serves as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic and Squad Leader on a Combat Repair Team in support of 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division; maintains hazmat, TMDE, unscheduled services, and Quality Control on organizational and direct support maintenance for 74 Strykers, 40 wheeled vehicles, and over 300 items of communications and weapons systems; responsible for the serviceability and accountability of over $1.5 million worth of tools and equipment; responsible for the health, welfare and professional development of four Soldiers.


91S Stryker Systems Maintainer
Serves as an IMST senior technician supporting the 28th Infantry Division; schedules, supervises and performs DS maintenance for M1128 MGS, M1132 ESV, M1133 MEV, and M1135; maintains vehicle subsystems, including suspension, steering, hydraulic, fire suppression, and mounted armament; complies with shop safety rules; qualifies with and uses maintenance power tools; records maintenance actions; performs battlefield damage and recoverability assessment; certifies operability.


Shop Foreman
Serves as Shop Foreman for the Combat Repair Team supporting the 2nd Cavalry Regiment; provides scheduled and unscheduled field level maintenance and logostical support for 78 Stryker Combat Vehicles, 31 HMMWVs, 13 Generators, 13 HEMTTs, 36 Trailers, and one M88; responsible for the health, welfare, training and professional development of 22 Soldiers and five NCOs; maintains accountability of assigned vehicles and equipment valued in excess of $2 million dollars.


Stryker Systems Maintainer
Serves as Shop Foreman on an Infantry Maintenance Support Team; responsible for the DS maintenance of the 3/9 Mechanized Infantry Battalion, 2d Infantry Division, Republic of Korea; performs, inspects, and supervises the DS maintenance of 16 M1126 Stryker Combat Vehicles, 89 wheeled, and 6 recovery vehicles valued in excess of $250 million; plans, organizes, and supervises recovery operations; administers shop safety program; conducts MOS related and cross-training of 13 soldiers; assists section chief in accounting for over $2 million worth of MTOE.
