FOR EXCEPTIONALLY MERITORIOUS ACHIEVMENT WHILE SERVING AS TOW GUNNER FOR FOURTH PLATOON, A TROOP, 3RD SQUADRON, 4TH CAVALRY REGIMENT. PFC JOHNSON EXHIBITED UNCANNY MARKSMANSHIP CAPABILITIES DURING TOW GUNNERY OPERATIONS.HE ACHIEVED A SCORE OF 990 POINTS OUT OF A POSSIBLE 1,000 POINTS, THUS EARNING THE COVETED TITLE OF "TOP GUN". PFC JOHNSON'S EXTRAORDINARY EFFORTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS REFLECT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, THE ARMY FORCES COMMAND AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.
FOR MERITORIOUS ACHIEVEMENT AS SMALL ARMS INSTRUCTOR. SGT MILLER PROVIDED A SUPERIOR LEVEL OF WEAPONS AND MARKSMANSHIP TRAINING TO 25 UNITS AND 1,200 WARRIORS PREPARING FOR OVERSEAS DEPLOYMENT. HIS DEDICATION AND SELFLESS SERVICE WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN INSTILLING CONFIDENCE IN THE WARRIORS' ASSIGNED WEAPONS AND IN THE OVERALL SUCCESS OF THE MISSION. HIS PERFORMANCE REFLECTS GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER-CENTRAL AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.
SERGEANT AMMERMAN LOCATED AN INOPERABLE BEAMHIT LASER MARKSMANSHIP TRAINING SYSTEM AND REVITALIZED THE WEAPONS TRAINING SYSTEM SAVING THE DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY OVER $20,000 DOLLARS IN EQUIPMENT COSTS. IN ADDITION, HE ESTABLISHED A 5-LANE RIFLE FAMILIARIZATION COURSE, A SINGLE LANE SIMULATED 300 METER RIFLE QUALIFICATION COURSE, AND A SINGLE LANE TACTICAL REACTION COURSE. WITH THIS OPERATIONAL TRAINING SYSTEM HE WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE HANDS ON WEAPONS FAMILIARIZATION TRAINING TO MORE THAN 200 NAVY RESERVE PERSONNEL WHICH GREATLY ENHANCED THEIR EXPEDITIONARY AND WAR FIGHTING SKILLS AND REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, THE DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.
