Defense Travel System (DTS) Citations

Defense Travel System (DTS) NCO, JFHQ, U.S. Army Forces Command. Staff Sergeant Haines served as the G3 reviewer/ approver for all travel transactions submitted to the Defense Travel System for the West Virginia Army National Guard. SSG Haines assisted in the successful completion of over 3,000 transactions, with an error rate of less than .5 percent. He helped complete all transactions ahead of schedule, resulting in zero travel issues or cancelled flights for the 3,000 service members who utilize DTS on a daily basis. SSG Haines' stellar performance positively and directly impacted mission success for the WVARNG and the United States Army.




MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS LEAD DEFENSE TRAVEL SYSTEM AND CITI BANK AGENCY PROGRAM COORDINATOR ON THE STAFF OF SUBMARINE READINESS SQUADRON THREE THREE FROM DECEMBER 2020 TO APRIL 2023. PETTY OFFICER HOLCOMB PERFORMED HER DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. DEMONSTRATING AN UNPARALLELED WORK ETHIC, SHE ORCHESTRATED 500 MISSION CRITICAL TRAVEL ORDERS, EMERGENCY LEAVE TRAVEL, AND TEMPORARY DUTY TRAVEL FOR 16 SUBMARINES AND TWO SUBMARINE SQUADRONS ON THE PEARL HARBOR WATERFRONT WITH ONE HUNDRED PERCENT EFFICIENCY. ADDITIONALLY, SHE LED DEFENSE TRAVEL SYSTEM, CITI BANK APC, AND SALESFORCE TRAINING WITH CSS1 SUPPORTING MONTHLY LEADING YEOMAN TRAINING FOR 16 SUBMARINES AND ATTACHED PERSONNEL. MOREOVER, SHE AIDED AN UNDERMANNED DIVISION IN PROCESSING 700 PERSONNEL GAINS, 300 TRANSFERS, AND 200 PERSONNEL PAY TRANSACTIONS. PETTY OFFICER HOLCOMB'S DISTINCTIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE AND STEADFAST DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HERSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




Meritorious service while serving as Financial Management Technician, 121st Comptroller Flight, 121st Air Refueling Wing, Rickenbacker ANGB, Columbus, Ohio, from XXXXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXXXX. During this period, Staff Sergeant Asceves was instrumental in transitioning to and bringing the Defense Travel System online for the entire 121st ARW base populace. He was an indispensable member of a finance team that provided outstanding internal customer service while also serving as the focal point for all DTS related questions, problems, and troubleshooting. In addition to providing outstanding customer service, the team also audited and certified more than 5,800 vouchers submitted through DTS valued in excess of three million dollars. Further, he ensured all submissions approved by him were one hundred percent accurate and complete as well as supported by all necessary documentation in accordance with all regulatory guidance. The distinctive accomplishments of Staff Sergeant Asceves reflect credit upon himself, the 121st Air Refueling Wing and the United States Air Force.
