Meritorious service while serving as OH-58D Maintainer and Ground Radar Emitter for Training Aviators (GRETA) Unit Trainer, C Company, 8th Combat Aviation Battalion, 8th Infantry Division, from XXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXX. During this period, the professional skill, leadership, and ceaseless efforts of Master Sergeant Simpson contributed to the effectiveness and success of the unit's combat readiness under the General Defense Plan (GDP) for Fula Gap. Additionally, as the 8th Combat Aviation Battalion Attack Cell Evaluator during the V Corp gunnery density, he facilitated effective training. Moreover, as the only unit trainer for the newly deployed Ground Radar Emitter Trainer for Aviators (GRETA), he established the new training program and trained and qualified over 50 aviators in the recognition of Soviet threat radar signals and the use of the AN/APR-39 Digital Threat Warning System. His foresight, unceasing efforts and superb execution ensured Corps wide standardization of aviator gunnery skills and improved combat readiness.




Meritorious achievement while serving as the Standardization Instructor/Crewchief and Master Gunner for Company A, 1st Battalion, 131st Aviation Regiment. Sergeant Harrison Ford's exceptional knowledge, work ethic and devotion to duty ensured the success of the company during Aerial Gunnery 2021. His selfless service, tactical and technical expertise, and quality instruction resulted in the safe and successful qualification of all Company Non-Rated Crewmembers and over 135 hours of flight hours. His actions reflect credit upon himself, the 122nd Troop Command and the United States Army.
