Sergeant Roger A. Daltry distinguished himself by meritorious service as a Node Center Supervisor, 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army Garrison, Hawaii, from XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX. During this period, Sergeant Daltry's outstanding professionalism, technical expertise, and dedication to duty contributed greatly to the overall mission accomplishment of this highly diversified division. Sergeant Daltry repaired more than 200 small computers base-wide and saved the government over 100,000 dollars in repair costs. He excelled at customer education and provided 12 software classes to joint service members, saving the goverment an estimated 72,000 dollars in tuition costs. Sergeant Daltry's assistance to an Air Force engineering and installation team during the cutover of the communications center's switching system, which routed critical command and control message traffic, ensured a successful conversion with zero downtime. In addition, his efforts in troubleshooting network problems between switches restored continuity and communications within 2 hours and prevented an installation-wide communications outage. SGT Daltry's performance brings great credit upon himself, the 25th Infantry Division and the United States Army.




As a member of the Theater Deployable Communications section, Sergeant Crumb led a J6 directed mission transfer of 10 million dollars of Theater Deployable Communications equipment to the 644th Combat Communications Squadron, Anderson Air Base, Guam, effectively closing down the Yokota Air Base Theater Deployable Communications Mission. Furthermore, Sergeant Crumb responded to a devastating Defense Financial Accounting Service building fire, leading the installation of a Basic Access Module providing over 80 phone lines to a new location assuring the disbursement of approximately 100 million dollars a month throughout Pacific Air Forces. While assigned to the Telephone Maintenance section, Sergeant Crumb's leadership and ceaseless efforts led to the reorganization and reprogramming of nine separate DSN links, improving the Medical Operations Squadron's emergency medical evacuation response time from five minutes to one minute. While assigned to the Communications Focal Point, Sergeant Crumb oversaw over 150 preventive maintenance actions ensuring a 99% airfield systems uptime rate and shattering the Pacific Air Force's 97% standard. Furthermore, Sergeant Crumb oversaw an Air Traffic Control voice/Data switching systems restoral ensuring 11.5K sorties per year. Sergeant Crumb's exceptional performance, professionalism and dedication to duty reflect great credit on him, the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management and the United States Army.




During this period, the professional skill, leadership, and ceaseless efforts of Sergeant Walker contributed to the effectiveness and success of NSA/CSS, directly supporting over 2,500 personnel. He provided cyber support by activating 1500+ cyber sorties solidifying Computer Network Operations for over 250 projects. Sergeant Walker's technical expertise safeguarded NSA/CSS infrastructure and provided situational awareness through the dissemination of over 100 status reports to 9 cryptologic sites. Hand-picked to lead the Computing Service Team, he oversaw the installation of 5,500 feet of networking cable, supporting more than 200 client workstations and the installation of $250K in switching hardware, implementing a multi-tier network environment, greatly increasing fault tolerance and scalability for NSA infrastructure. Sergeant Walker's diligent efforts, professionalism and dedication to duty reflect great credit on him, the Signal Center and the United States Army.
