DURING THIS PERIOD, STAFF SERGEANT SULLIVAN INSTRUCTED FIVE MOTORCYCLE SAFETY COURSES THAT COMPRISE THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE INTERMEDIATE AND REFRESHER TRAINING AS REQUIRED BY JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS. HE PROVIDED HANDS-ON TRAINING TO 73 SOLDIERS, AIRMEN AND CIVILIAN RIDERS, ENSURING THEY LEARNED SAFE RIDING TECHNIQUES AND IMPROVED THEIR ACCIDENT AVOIDANCE SKILLS. HIS FIERCE COMMITMENT TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF MOTORCYCLE RIDERS CONTRIBUTED TO THE LOWERING OF MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENTS PER YEAR FROM NINE TO TWO, A REDUCTION OF OVER SEVENTY FIVE PERCENT WITH LIFE SAVING BENEFITS IMPOSSIBLE TO CALCULATE. THE ACTIONS OF STAFF SERGEANT SULLIVAN REFLECT GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.

SERGEANT XXXXXX CONSISTENTLY PERFORMED HIS DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN EXEMPLARY AND HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. AS MOTORCYCLE SAFETY NCO, HE PROVIDED CRUCIAL SUPPORT TO THE INSTALLATION CLAIMANCY BY LEADING AREA MOTORCYCLE SAFETY OFFICERS IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF THEIR MOTORCYCLE SAFETY PROGRAMS. HE TRACKED OVER 200 MOTORCYCLE RIDERS TO ENSURE TEAM JBLE WAS UP TO DATE ON ALL REQUIRED MOTORCYCLE SAFETY TRAINING. HIS EFFORTS RESULTED IN JBLE HAVING A TRAINING COMPLIANCY RATE OF 98%, THE HIGHEST IN U.S. ARMY TRAINING AND DOCTRINE COMMAND. HIS ACTIONS REFLECT GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, JOINT BASE LANGLEY-EUSTIS AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.




As the Senior Motorcycle Mentor, SSG Haines' tireless devotion to the safety and well being of all service members assigned to HHC CASCOM was unprecedented. Passionate about motorcycle safety, he educated all motorcycle riders on the dangers of operating a motorcycle and trained them in safe riding techniques. After the reinstatement of the CASCOM Motorcycle Mentorship Program, motorcycle accidents declined until they reached zero over the last 12 months. The distinctive accomplishments of SSG Haines bring great credit upon himself, HHC CASCOM and the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command.




For professional achievement in the superior performance of his duties while serving as motorcycle safety officer on the staff of HHC CASCOM from XXXXXXX to XXXXXXX. Staff Sergeant Myers consistently performed his demanding duties in an exemplary and highly professional manner. As motorcycle safety officer, he provided crucial support to the battalion by leading area motorcycle safety officers in the adminstration of their motorcycle safety programs. He tracked over 250 motorcyle riders to ensure Fort Lee's was up to date on all required motorcycle safety training. His efforts resulted in Fort Lee having a training compliancy rate of 97%, the highest in the Southeast.
