During his deployment as part of Regional Command East, the professional skill, leadership, and ceaseless efforts of Lieutenant-Colonel Sims contributed to the effectiveness and success of Operation Enduring Freedom XIII, Afghanistan, especially within Kapisa Province. Lieutenant-Colonel Sim's outstanding leadership and devotion to duty were instrumental factors in the resolution of many problems of major importance to staff as he effectively integrated with aides de camp of D6, D8 and D12 to ensure the smoothest staff coordination between Regional Command East and Task Force LA FAYETTE.
SFC BARROW DISPLAYED TIRELESS PERSONAL DEVOTION AND LOYALTY TO RANGE CONTROL. BY CONTINUING HIS DUTIES AS THE RANGE FIRE DESK NCO AND ASSUMING THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE ABSENCE OF A RANGE OPERATIONS NCOIC AND OFFICER, SFC BARROW HAS ONCE AGAIN PROVEN HIMSELF A RARE ASSET. SFC BARROW HAS EXCEEDED THE TIME HONORED TRADITION OF THE NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICER CORPS ACTING AS A SOURCE OF LEADERSHIP AND EXPERIENCE AND HIS CONTRIBUTION TO THE RANGE CONTROL CANNOT BE OVEREMPHASIZED. HIS STEADFAST DEVOTION HAS EARNED HIM THE RESPECT AND APPRECIATION OF ALL THOSE WHOM HE HE HAS SERVED. SFC BARROW IS A GREAT CREDIT TO HIMSELF, HIS UNIT, AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.

MSG ELLIS' INITIATIVE AND SUPERB ADVISORY SKILLS LED TO THE SUCCESSFUL DEVELOPMENT OF STRATEGIC GOALS AND PLANS FOR THE SECURITY KANDAK PROTECTING 5,500 PERSONNEL. HIS EXAMPLE FOSTERED A LASTING COMMITMENT TO EFFECTIVE SECURITY TRAINING AND OPERATIONS AMONG KANDAK LEADERSHIP. HIS PERFORMANCE IN A COMBAT ZONE REFLECTS GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, THE NATO TRAINING MISSION AND COMBINED SECURITY TRANSITION COMMAND-AFGHANISTAN, THE UNITED STATES CENTRAL COMMAND, AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.
During SFC Mixon’s service to the 412th, the professional skills, leadership, and ceaseless efforts of SFC Mixon was a leading factor in the Battalion’s success. SFC Mison has served as the standard for the Battalion for over 10 years. Starting as a Private in the motor pool, SFC Mixon’s leadership, resolve, and devotion to the Army has been on display in every assignment he has undertaken. During his service he has risen to the rank of Sergeant First Class, attended Airborne, Jump Master, Civil Affairs Qualification Course, PLDC, and ANCOC. He has been on 2 deployments as support staff and served this Battalion from its inception. During this time he has sacrificed countless weekends, evenings and holidays placing the mission and his soldiers first. This dedication to his country, the Army and the 412th CA BN has been instrumental to not only our readiness, but the overall success of the team.
MSG Z was not afraid to take charge in the absence of senior NCOs and always made the right decisions when necessary. As the senior chief, his sound technical expertise and can-do attitude was demonstrated when he led other gun crews during all phases of this operation. His leadership and "Take Charge" attitude developed a sense of teamwork, loyalty, and initiaive in his subordinates which focused their efforts and ultimately delivered every mission requested.
During this period, the outstanding professional skill, leadership, and ceaseless efforts of Specialist Collins resulted in major contributions to the effectiveness and success of the 3-10 Aviation S-3 Tactical Operations Office. In this important assignment, Specialist Collins' outstanding leadership and devotion to duty were instrumental factors in the resolution of many problems of major importance to the 10th Mountain Division (LI) and the United States Army.

SPECIALIST HOLCOMB'S EXPERTISE, VAST KNOWLEDGE, AND OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE OF DUTY WHILE SUPPORTING CONTINUOUS DETAINEE OPERATIONS WERE INSTRUMENTAL TO THE OVERALL SUCCESS OF THE MISSION. SPECIALIST HOLCOMB'S ACTIONS ARE IN KEEPING WITH THE FINEST TRADITIONS OF MILITARY SERVICE AND REFLECT GREAT CREDIT UPON HIM, THE 344TH MILITARY POLICE COMAPNY, THE 18TH MILITARY POLICE BRIGADE, AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.
SGT Stevens achieved a milestone in her career by her knowledge of military subjects, superb military appearance and bearing, infallible leadership abilities, awareness of world events, duty performance, and overall professionalism. She sacrificed countless personal hours to prepare herself for the Special Troops Battalion (Rear) and 4th Sustainment Brigade (Provisional) quarter/annual board, which led to her being selected over her peers as the Special Troops Battalion (Rear) and 4th Sustainment Brigade (Provisional) NCO of the Year FY12.
