January LIK Rooming Roster Sign-In
The purpose of this Memorandum for Record (MFR) is to document why the January LIK (Lodging in Kind) rooming roster was not signed by Soldiers.
During the January LIK lodging period, the required rooming roster was not signed by the Soldiers because the hotel front desk staff did not notify Soldiers that signatures were required during check-in. As a result, Soldiers checked into their assigned rooms without being given the opportunity to sign the roster.
This issue was not identified until after the lodging period had concluded. There is no indication that the Soldiers intentionally failed to comply with the sign-in requirement. The lack of signatures was due to the hotel associate's failure to inform Soldiers of the required sign-in process.
This memorandum is prepared to explain the circumstances surrounding the missing signatures and to provide documentation for administrative records. Future LIK lodging will include coordination with hotel staff to ensure Soldiers are properly notified of all required sign-in procedures upon arrival.
