TAFCS Operator
Sets up, tests, and operates Tactical Automated Fire Control System (TAFCS) equipment; identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves TAFCS failures; coordinates with headquarters for fire planning data and survey information; obtains meteorological data; calculates meteorological data by hand; establishes, maintains, and operates secure radio communication; performs operator maintenance on section vehicles and generators; responsible for the care of specialized equipment valued in excess of $1M.
