17A Cyber Operations Officer
Serves as Cyber Operations Officer for USAREUR-AF G6 CSD; directs both defensive and offensive cyberspace maneuver and effects operations in the cyberspace domain; conducts Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO) through the application of cyber capabilities to target adversary capabilities; conducts Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) by protecting data, networks, and other systems by detecting and responding to attacks against friendly networks; integrates and synchronizes OCO and DCO with other military actions to enable commanders to mass effects and gain advantages; responsible for the professional development, combat readiness, and health and welfare of two officers and 8 Soldiers.


17A Cyber Operations Officer
Serves as a Cyber Warfare Officer, 146th Cyber Warfare Company; oversees offensive and defensive cyber security; inspects and tests all components of unit information technology networks; limits access to networks to authorized equipment and users; utilizes personnel, resources, and capabilities to engage adversaries in cyberspace; preserves the ability to use and confidence in friendly cyberspace capabilities; protects data, networks, and other systems; conducts OCO to target and neutralize adversary threats; conducts DCO to protect data, networks, and other systems by monitoring, detecting, indentifying, and responding to attacks on friendly networks; supervises six NCOs and six Soldiers and maintains an equipment account valued at more than $1M.


17A Cyber Operations Officer
Serves as Cyber Space Security Lead at 501st Joint Special Operations Command, Information Warfare and Cyber Intelligence; manages defensive and offensive cyberspace operations; forecasts material requirements and optimizes the use of personnel and resources to engage and defeat adversaries in cyberspace; preserves the integrity of and the ability to use friendly cyberspace capabilities; protects data, networks, and other systems; catalogs adversary cyber vulnerabilities in order to deny, degrade, disrupt, destroy, or manipulate adversary communications; integrates and synchronizes cyberspace operations with other military actions; advises the commander on all aspects of training; supervises Soldiers in the accountability and maintenance of $24,000,000 in equipment.
