MOS 21X General Engineering Supervisor

In 2004, the Engineer MOS changed from CMF 12 to CMF 21. In 2009, the Engineer MOS changed again, from CMF 21 to CMF 12.

Directorate of Public Works NCOIC
Operations NCO for a 365 person work force which executes a $95 million Operations and Maintenance (OMA)/Army Family Housing (AFH) program and a $700 million construction program for the 16,000 member Stuttgart military community, Germany; principal NCO interface with 11 separate Command Sergeants Major on all facility engineering issues; provides engineering and housing operational control over a 1,000 square mile area consisting of five installations, 720 buildings, 22 Soldier barracks, and other occupied facilities.


General Engineering Supervisor
Supervises general engineering activities related to all construction and utility operations; assists engineer officers in construction planning, scheduling, and material estimating; assists in the preparation of operation orders, standing operating procedures, and contingency plans; provides staff supervision and principal noncommissioned officer direction to units engaged in performing general engineering missions; inspects construction and training activities; supervises performance of combat engineering missions.


Engineering Supervisor
Supervises a Construction Platoon of 36 Soldiers on a variety of projects; sustains mission readiness of 15 items of equipment and engineer tools valued at over $2,000,000; reads and interprets constructions drawings; estimates material, time, equipment and labor requirements; prioritizes and schedules engineer taskings and efforts; supervises the construction and repair of wood, concrete, masonry, or prefabricated structures; supervises the installation and repair of utility systems; inspects structures and facilities for compliance with specifications; directs operator maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment.
