Best Squad Competition
SSG Walker led the planning efforts for the 116th MI Brigade's first Best Squad Competition, where he was recognized by brigade leadership for his planning and organizational skills. His understanding of the event's content and sequence of events was indispensable to the competition's planning and its subsequent success as he trained and mentored 25 junior NCOs across the battalion at the brigade echelon. He empowered these NCOs to conduct events and invited external evaluators from the NCO Academy and 3rd SFAB to eliminate bias and increase esprit de corps.

STAFF SERGEANT CARLTON'S ACTIONS REFLECT GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, HIS SECTION, THE 377TH THEATER SUSTAINMENT COMMAND AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.
Best Squad Competition
SPC Walker's uncanny technical and tactical proficiency in both Reconnaissance and Security tasks was the deciding factor for being selected to represent the First Cavalry Division in the 2017 Gainey Cup competition held at Fort Benning, Georgia. SPC Walker represented the Squadron with relentless dedication, relying on his personal experiences and extensive knowledge base for optimal employment of the weapon system which allowed him to effectively and safely negotiate the rigorous four day Best Scout Squad competition.
Best Squad Competition
Individual rose to the occasion with minimal preparation. They competed at the USAISR Best squad competition against the best that USAISR Soldiers had to offer, in grueling tasks and events, including ACFT, EPFA, CWST, commo tasks, Oral board, written test, 6-mile ruck, and a 9-mile ruck. The winner of the overall competition was selected to compete at the MRDC best squad competition at Fort Stewart, Georgia.

SGT Robison, Michael went above and beyond and represented USAICOE at the TRADOC Best Squad Competition. SGT Robison displayed expertise in his Soldier common tasks, battle drills, and collective live fire tasks. In addition, SGT Robison assisted two junior enlisted Soldiers in completing all expected tasks within the competition.
