CSM BIEBER'S ACTIONS REFLECT GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, THE 3297TH UNITED STATES ARMY HOSPITAL AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY RESERVE.




EXCEPTIONALLY MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE ASSIGNED AS THE BATTALION OPERATIONS SERGEANT FOR THE 1ST BATTALION, 487TH FIELD ARTILLERY REGIMENT FROM 1 SEPTEMBER 2011 THROUGH 20 JULY 2014. SGM HIROSAKI'S TECHNICAL AND TACTICAL COMPETENCE, CONFIDENCE, LEADERSHIP, PROFESSIONALISM, AND UNMATCHED WORK ETHIC DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTED TO THE SUCCESS OF THE HIKI NO BATTALION DURING THIS PERIOD. HIS TIRELESS EFFORTS AND OUTSTANDING DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, THE 1ST BATTALION 487TH FIELD ARTILLERY REGIMENT, THE 29TH INFANTRY BRIGADE COMBAT TEAM AND THE HAWAII ARMY NATIONAL GUARD.




Command Sergeant Major McKoy distinguised himself by meritorious service while serving as Command Sergeant Major for the 2D Stryker Cavalry Regiment's Regimental Support Squadron in Support of the Dutch Army during his deployemt to Kandahar Airfield Afghanistan. CSM Mckoy was key in the planning and execution of Joint combat logistics patrols with the Dutch Army. CSM McKoy ensured that the forces from both Armies were trained on critical crew drills and more importantly, the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of the enemy. He quickly embraced the leadership from the Dutch transportation platoon from the 200th Bevo Battalion and analyzed the risks of the mission and possible challenges. He provided sound input into the development of risk reduction measures and strategies that proved critical to the safety of all on these missions. CSM McKoy participated in one of the missions and provided command and control and assisted the convoy commander with making tactical on-the-move decisions which resulted in a successful mission. CSM McKoy was a key player and a role model for US forces in joint missions conducted with the Dutch Army enabling them to sucessfully retrograde their equipment out of theater.
