MERITORIOUS SERVICE AS DEFENSIVE CYBER OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, DEFENSIVE CYBER OPERATIONS (DCO), FROM 20 MARCH 2018 TO 10 SEPTEMBER 2020. DURING THIS PERIOD, MAJOR BLEDSOE ANALYZED CYBER PLATFORM REQUIREMENTS, MAXIMIZED READINESS AND REDUCED LIFE CYCLE COST THROUGH RAPID LOGISTICS ANALYSIS. HIS TEAM EMPLOYED DEVSECOPS METHODS WHICH INCREASED ITS SOFTWARE LIFE CYCLE AND DELIVERED NEW CAPABILITIES TO OPERATORS EVERY 90 DAYS. IN ADDITION, HIS TEAM SPONSORED A 48-MEMBER TEAM FOR A SECRETARY OF THE AIR FORCE LED "HACK-A-SAT" EVENT WHICH SUPPORTED 6,000 HACKERS AND 17 ORGANIZATIONS IN LESS THAN 6 MONTHS. LASTLY, HIS EFFORTS EMBODIED MISSION SUSTAINMENT BY INSTALLING OVER 3,000 PARTS WORTH $8 MILLION IN DEFENSE OF SIX LEGACY MISSIONS ACROSS FIVE U.S. SPACE FORCE ORGANIZATIONS. MAJOR BLEDSOE'S EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE, PROFESSIONALISM, AND DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECT GREAT CREDIT UPON HIM, THE 915TH CYBER WARFARE BATTALION AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.




PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AS ATTACK SENSING AND WARNING LEAD AT NAVY CYBER DEFENSE OPERATIONS COMMAND SUFFOLK, VIRGINIA FROM JULY 2015 TO AUGUST 2018. SERGEANT BRYAN A. NORMAN EXPERTLY LED 39 MILITARY MEMBERS AND SIX CIVILIANS MONITORING 307 NETWORK SENSORS ACROSS THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE INFORMATION NETWORK. HIS EFFORTS RESULTED IN THE CREATION AND QUALITY CONTROL REVIEW OF 3,523 CYBER EVENT REPORTS, AND THE SUCCESSFUL IDENTIFICATION AND MITIGATION OF 360 CYBER THREATS, PROTECTING 58 NAVAL COMMANDS AND THREE DEFENSE CYBER OPERATIONS SITES FROM MALICIOUS INTRUSION AND MALWARE. ADDITIONALLY, HE RESTRUCTURED THE NETWORK FORENSICS WATCH TO IMPROVE IDENTIFICATION AND RESPONSE TIMES DURING HIGH OPTEMPO PERIODS WHILE MAINTAINING AROUND THE CLOCK COVERAGE. MOREOVER, AS DIVISION MENTORSHIP COORDINATOR, HE COORDINATED MENTOR AGREEMENTS FOR 166 SAILORS, SOLDIERS, AND MARINES, ENHANCING CAREER DEVELOPMENT, RETENTION AND TRAINING. SERGEANT NORMAN'S EXCEPTIONAL PROFESSIONALISM AND SELFLESS DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.




MERITORIOUS SERVICE AS COMPUTER NETWORK DEFENSE LEADING PETTY OFFICER AT NAVY CYBER DEFENSE OPERATIONS COMMAND, SUFFOLK, VIRGINIA FROM MARCH 2013 TO NOVEMBER 2016. DURING THIS PERIOD, PETTY OFFICER REESE LED 36 SAILORS IN THE DETECTION AND ANALYSIS OF ADVERSARIAL CYBER OPERATIONS ON THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE INFORMATION NETWORK BY MONITORING 177 TACTICAL AND STRATEGIC COMPUTER NETWORK SENSORS. HIS DILIGENT EFFORTS LED TO THE PRODUCTION OF 1,200 CYBER EVENT REPORTS AND THE ANALYSIS OF 750 COMPUTER PACKET CAPTURES, CREATING 440 NAVY COMPUTER INCIDENT RESPONSE TICKETS WHICH ENSURED THE TIMELY MITIGATION OF NAVY NETWORK INCIDENTS WORLD WIDE. IN ADDITION, HIS DEDICATION TO PROFESSIONAL GROWTH PRODUCED ONE JUNIOR SAILOR OF THE YEAR, TWO JUNIOR SAILORS OF THE QUARTER, SIX ADVANCEMENTS, SIX COLLEGE AND FIVE UNITED STATES MILITARY APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM ENROLLMENTS. MOREOVER, HE ESTABLISHED A DIVISIONAL UNIFORM INSPECTION REWARD PROGRAM, INSPIRING SAILORS TO STRIVE FOR OUTSTANDING UNIFORM STANDARDS AND PROMOTING GOOD ORDER AND DISCIPLINE. FINALLY, AS A COMMAND ADVOCATE, HE VOLUNTEERED OVER 200 HOURS AT THE NORFOLK FOOD BANK AND MENCHVILLE HOUSE OF MINISTRIES HOMELESS SHELTER, SERVING FOOD TO FAMILIES IN NEED AND ASSISTING WITH ROUTINE CLEANING, LAUNDRY SERVICES, AND YARD BEAUTIFICATION PROJECTS. PETTY OFFICER REESE'S DISTINCTIVE ACCOMPLISHMENTS, UNRELENTING PERSEVERANCE AND STEADFAST DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
