Major Linda C. Epson distinguished herself by meritorious service while serving as Chief, Occupational Therapy Element, Human Performance Flight, 99th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron, 99th Medical Group, 99th Air Base Wing, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. During this period, Major Epson led the Occupational Therapy Element and oversaw a three hundred thousand dollar budget, supervised five staff members, restored the Occupational Therapy internship, and improved access to care by twenty percent. Additionally, as the Deputy Flight Commander for Air Combat Command's largest Base Operational Medicine Clinic, Major Epson oversaw eighteen personnel, one thousand two hundred and fifty appointments and twenty one programs, ensuring ten thousand active duty personnel were medically ready to deploy. Further, as the interim Human Performance Flight Commander for six months, she led two geographically separated units, four Elements, and thirty three staff in supporting more than six thousand appointments. Finally, Major Epson's efforts were instrumental in the Medical Group's three year accreditation by The Joint Commission in 2023, The Air Force's Best Inpatient Facility Patient Safety Program in 2022, Air Combat Command Best Inpatient Facility Patient Safety Program in 2023, and Air Force Surgeon General Hospital of the Year in 2021.
