Vessel Master
CW2 Creech demonstrated outstanding commitment and achievement while serving as the Vessel Master aboard the Army Landing Craft, LCU-2031, at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in support of Joint Task Force Southern Guard (JTF-SG) and Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (NSGB). His leadership and operational acumen ensured unparalleled mission execution and logistical support for all joint forces operating in a critical theater of operations.
CW2 Creech oversaw the LCU-2031, the primary transport vessel conducting over 247 High Threat Illegal Alien (HTIA) transfer operations. His meticulous planning and execution facilitated the safe transport of more than 1000 vehicles and 4671 passengers across Guantanamo Bay. The LCU-2031 maintained an exceptional 100 percent operational readiness rate, ensuring the successful execution of all transfer operations without any failures.
In a testament to his decisive leadership, CW2 Creech proactively offered the LCU-2031 as a dedicated CASEVAC platform for JTF-SG. This critical initiative filled a significant gap in medical evacuation capability, enhancing the overall safety and readiness of all personnel involved. The LCU-2031 successfully executed two real-world medical evacuations, transporting individuals in need of urgent medical care to receive further treatment, thereby demonstrating exceptional responsiveness and commitment to the welfare of soldiers and personnel.
