MEMORANDUM FOR: SEE DISTRIBUTION
SUBJECT: Additional Duty Appointment - Suicide Prevention Program Liaison (SPPL)
1. Effective 09 May 2025, the following individuals are assigned as Suicide Prevention Program Liaison (SPPL).

2. Authority: AR 600-63, paragraphs 4-5, 4-6, and 4-7, and DA PAM 600-24.
3. Duties: Support the Army's goal to minimize suicidal behavior; establish a community approach to reduce Army suicides; eliminate any policy which inadvertently discriminates, punishes, or discourages any Soldier from receiving professional counseling; raise awareness of and vigilance towards suicide prevention; conduct suicide prevention training.
4. Period: Until officially relieved or released from this appointment.
5. Special Instructions: The Suicide Prevention Program Liaison (SPPL) will become familiar with guidelines and requirements outlined in the above cited references. The SPPL will serve as a point of contact for and coordinate with the OFTS Suicide Prevention Program Manager (SPPM) to provide training for Soldiers within the unit.
