MEMORANDUM FOR Commander, 442 MP CO, 25 Baiting Place Rd, Farmingdale, NY 11735 United States
SUBJECT: Request for Deployment Deferment - Civilian Education Program
1. I respectfully request a deferment from the scheduled deployment to the SWB in order to complete a civilian education program that is approved under the Army Tuition Assistance program.
2. I am currently enrolled in Farmingdale State College, pursuing a degree in Finance with classes scheduled from 20250826 through 20260514. This course of study has been approved through ArmyIgnitED and is going to help by enhancing mission-essential skills in logistics management and engineering fundamentals.
3. The coursework requires in-person/real-time attendance and interruption at this point would result in loss of credit hours, financial penalties, and delays in program completion. Attached is documentation from Farmingdale State College verifying enrollment and course schedule.
4. This request is made in accordance with AR 614-200, para 5-14, which allows for assignment/deployment deferments for service-related education and training. I believe completion of this program will enhance my contributions to the unit and overall Army readiness.
