DATE: October 15, 2026
MEMORANDUM FOR:
Ashley Smith
Edyc Smith
RESIDENCE: 5908-1 Fisher Ave, Fort Hood, TX 76544
SUBJECT: Notice of Impending Termination of Military Family Housing Eligibility and Occupancy Authorization
1. AUTHORITY AND PURPOSE. This memorandum serves as an official administrative notification regarding the authorized housing occupancy status of Ashley Smith and Edyc Smith at 5908-1 Fisher Ave, Fort Hood, TX 76544. This office has been formally notified of the initiation of legal divorce proceedings and marital separation between the parties, tracked under administrative case reference FTH-2026-DIV-09412.
2. REGULATORY COMPLIANCE. In accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 420-1 (Army Facilities Management) and Department of the Army housing management policies, eligibility for, and continuous occupancy of, on-post family housing is strictly conditioned upon the maintenance of command-sponsored dependent status and a valid, recognized marriage to the active-duty service member. Under federal and military guidelines, a pending dissolution of marriage requires an immediate administrative review of housing asset allocations.
3. TERMINATION OF ELIGIBILITY. Based upon the official review of your household's active status and the legal timeline of your marital separation, it has been determined that command-sponsored housing eligibility can no longer be sustained. Consequently, all current housing arrangements, community leasing privileges, and residential allowances for the property at 5908-1 Fisher Ave are officially scheduled to stop on November 15, 2026.
4. VACATE AND CLEARING MANDATE. The date of November 15, 2026, serves as the final deadline for the termination of your residential occupancy authorization. To ensure an orderly transition, the occupants are required to complete the following administrative actions prior to the deadline:
- Pre-Termination Inspection: Contact the Cavalry Family Housing Community Office within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt of this notice to schedule a mandatory pre-termination property inspection.
- Quarter Clearing: Ensure the physical premises are completely vacated, cleaned to installation standards, and all keys are surrendered to management on or before the effective date.
- Failure to Comply: Failure to voluntarily clear the quarters by the established deadline will result in the immediate revocation of installation post privileges for non-military personnel and the referral of this matter to the Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) for formal eviction proceedings.
5. POINTS OF CONTACT. Any questions regarding this administrative action, local off-post housing referral services, or transitional assistance programs may be directed to the Housing Services Office (HSO) at the Copeland Soldier Service Center or by calling (254) 285-2313.
