Gap in OER Rating Period

1. The purpose of this memorandum is to formally explain the administrative gap in my Officer Evaluation Report (OER) history for the period of 12 July 2024 through 18 May 2026, submitted for consideration by the Unit Vacancy Promotion (UVP) Board. My last OER rating period covered 26 November 2023 through 12 July 2024.

2. Following my successful redeployment as the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Commander, I was transferred to the Special Warfare Training Detachment to undergo assessment and selection into the Special Forces. Due to injuries sustained during this period, I was physically unable to continue in the Special Forces training pipeline.

3. The U.S. Army Human Resources Command (HRC) has officially confirmed that all time spent assigned to the special operations preparation (paragraph and line) constitutes unrated time. This period of unrated time will be formally annotated on my next OER.

4. On 18 May 2026, I officially transferred to an EOD position within the 40th Infantry Division (ID), establishing my current rating chain and ending the administrative unrated gap.

5. This administrative gap is entirely non-rated time and does not represent any adverse action, suspension of favorable personnel actions, or a lack of honorable service.
