SUBJECT: Initial Counseling and Lack of Mentorship
1. On 17 June 2025, I received my initial counseling from 1SG [Name], who verbally stated he would serve as my mentor. Prior to this, I submitted a battle rhythm and troops-to-task outline on 11 June 2025, requesting input and guidance. No feedback was provided.
2. Since this counseling, I have not received mentorship, developmental guidance, or supervisory engagement from my rater. As outlined in AR 623-3, para 2-5a(2), the rater is responsible for directing and assessing the rated Soldier's performance and providing developmental support. This has not occurred.
3. The absence of mentorship and supervisory involvement has hindered my professional growth and created uncertainty in my role as a Motor Sergeant.
