SUBJECT: Letter of Recommendation for SGT Gentry
It is with great pleasure that I recommend SGT Gentry for attendance at the Army Basic Career Counselor Course and reclassification to the PMOS of 79S. SGT Gentry is a highly respected Noncommissioned Officer who consistently demonstrates professionalism, strong leadership, and a natural ability to clearly and effectively communicate the Army's message to seniors, peers, and subordinates.
SGT Gentry previously served with distinction as a Team Leader while stationed in Korea and currently serves as a Squad Leader supporting both the border mission and garrison operations. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, he also serves as a part-time Retention NCO alongside the Career Counselor for 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment. Through his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to Soldiers, SGT Gentry has contributed to increasing retention within the unit by helping Soldiers understand and pursue continued service opportunities in the United States Army.
I fully support and strongly endorse SGT Gentry's request for reclassification to MOS 79S. I am confident he will not only succeed but excel as an Army Career Counselor. His patience, professionalism, and genuine concern for the well-being and career progression of Soldiers make him exceptionally well suited for this role. SGT Gentry is a tremendous asset to the Army and will continue to positively impact Soldiers, their Families, and the overall readiness of the force.
