13Z5M First Sergeant
Serves as senior enlisted advisor to the Commander; assists the Commander in accomplishing any mission assigned to the unit; responsible for the care and welfare of the unit; responsible for the training, admin, discipline, professional development, personnel accountability, safety, morale and mentoring of all assigned Soldiers, NCOs and Officers; responsible for the maintenance and serviceability of all equipment valued at over $xxxxxxxx; establishes and enforces standards of conduct, professional development, and physical readiness to ensure the conditions are set to accomplish the mission; assists the commander in planning, coordinating, executing and supervising all operations.




MOS 13Z First Sergeant
Responsible for a World wide deployable FORSCOM Maneuver, Field Artillery Battery; responsible for the training, quality of life, safety, morale, health, welfare, discipline and combat readiness of 88 service members; principal advisor to the commander on all enlisted personnel issues and special emphasis areas; oversees unit daily operations consisting of supply, maintenance, administrative, and training functions; responsible for unit discipline and standards enforcement; maintains accountability and serviceability for all assigned Company MTOE equipment and installation property valued in excess of $20,000.000.




13Z60 FA SGM
Supervises the activities of all enlisted Soldiers in the TOC and assists the S3 with operations functions; performs and supervises net control duties for the battalion command net; maintains the staff journal and message log and ensures the situation map/charts are current at all times; ensures the TOC complex is properly supplied and maintained; manages internal and external tasks; tracks higher level operations orders for requirements; serves as NCOIC for all Battalion Tactical Operations.




MOS 13Z Battalion Operations Sergeant
Battalion Operations Sergeant for a M119A2 105mm fires Battalion with the primary mission of providing indirect fires to the 3d Brigade, 1st Infantry Division; responsible for the training and readiness of one Headquarters Battery, two firing Batteries and one forward support Company; manages the day to day actions of the Battalion operations section and associated Battalion fire direction center and counterfire section consisting of six officers, 12 NCOs and 22 Soldiers; manages internal and external taskings, tracks higher level operations orders for requirements and maintains the battalion crew manning rosters and crew certifications.




MOS 13Z First Sergeant
Serves as First Sergeant; holds formations, instructs platoon sergeants and is the senior trainer for all individual training that supports the unit METL; acts as the senior enlisted advisor to the commander; coordinates administrative and logistical support, to include water and food service, mail, laundry, showers, maintenance, and evacuation of personnel and equipment; monitors the health care, welfare, and sanitation of battery personnel; plans, coordinates, and executes the evacuation of casualties to the battalion aid station.




MOS 13Z First Sergeant
First Sergeant of a 155mm, self-propelled, Howitzer (Paladin) Battery; authorized five officers, 92 Soldiers, 26 track and wheeled vehicles; responsible for all aspects of the unit's discipline, morale, deployablity, daily administration and training; focused on a world-wide contingency mission in support of the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment; logistically plans and provides all classes of supply; responsible for the professional development of over 40 NCOs.
