MISC DUTY DESCRIPTIONS

MOS LOGISTICS 92Y/ Supply Sergeant
Responsible for over $2M worth of critical unit property and the supervision of 24 personnel. Ensures all readiness requirements are planned for. Directs subordinate personnel in performing assigned functions. Coordinates preparation of unit movement plans, load plans, and Automated Unit Equipment List reports. Evaluates the efficiency of unit supply activities; provides input for Unit Status Report (USR). Monitors the Army Maintenance System for all unit equipment, schedules and ensures preventative maintenance on all weapons systems. Ensures subordinate personnel receive training necessary for professional development.

MOS LOGISTICS 92Y/ Unit Supply Specialist
Monitors the Command Supply Discipline Program of the company. Monitors unit sensitive item, change of command, annual, and other inventories to ensure they are conducted to standard. Maintains the unit property book and possesses knowledge of DPAS and/or PBUS-E. Receives, inspects, and inventories organizational supplies and equipment as required. Secures and controls all sensitive items to include proper security of weapons and ammunition. Maintains individual clothing and OCIE inventories and records for the unit. Prepares and submits ULLS-S4 computer input data and reports. Reads, interprets, and reconciles ULLS-S4 generated reports.

MOS INFANTRY 11B/ Platoon Sergeant
Responsible for the morale, health, and training of a 39 man Rifle Platoon; responsible for the maintenance, accountability, and effective utilization of all platoon-assigned weapons, night observation devices, communications equipment, and individual equipment worth over $500,000; counsels, disciplines, and develops soldiers and NCOs into competent leaders; maintains the highest state of combat readiness regardless of conditions and personnel changes.

MOS ORDNANCE 89D/ Battalion Operations NCO
Responsible for operations and training for seven companies with 2200 Soldiers, all aspects of training, parades, and ceremonies, community projects, contingencies/mobilization, and special events for the battalion; directs the S2/3 portion of battalion Command Inspections; responsible for consolidated AIT graduation ceremonies for over 2500 Soldiers per year; manages ammunition accounts and school allocation for the battalion.

MOS MAINTENANCE 63A/ M1 ABRAMS Systems Maintainer
Performs and supervises Direct Support maintenance on M1A1 Abrams tank and M2A2 Bradley Line Replaceable Units (LRU); performs initial and final inspections on all LRUs and fire control systems; employs applicable testing and diagnostic procedures in accordance with appropriate technical manuals; responsible for the accountability and maintenance of over $300,000 worth of vehicles, special tools and test equipment; responsible for the health, welfare and training of eleven soldiers.

MOS MAINTENANCE 63M/ M2/3 BRADLEY Fighting Vehicle System Maintainer
Serves as Shop Foreman on an Infantry Maintenance Support Team; responsible for the DS maintenance of the 3/9 Mechanized Infantry Battalion, 2d Infantry Division, Republic of Korea; performs, inspects, and supervises the DS maintenance of 52 M2 Bradleys, 110 wheeled and 7 recovery vehicles valued in excess of $275 million; plans, organizes, and supervises recovery operations; administers shop safety program; conducts MOS related and cross-training of 13 soldiers; assists section chief in accounting for over $2 million worth of MTOE

MOS ENGINEER 21X/ Directorate of Public Works NCOIC
Operations NCO for a 365 person work force which executes a $95 million Operations and Maintenance (OMA)/Army Family Housing (AFH) program and a $700 million construction program for the 16,000 member Stuttgart military community, Germany. Principal NCO interface with 11 separate Command Sergeants Major on all facility engineering issues. Provides engineering and housing operational control over a 1,000 square mile area consisting of five installations, 720 buildings, 22 Soldier barracks, and other occupied facilities.

MOS AMMO 94P/ Multiple Launch Rocket System Repairer
Provides technical guidance to subordinates performing Direct Support Maintenance on TOW/Dragon missile systems; establishes priorities and work schedules, supervises work flow and monitors repair procedures; determines serviceability and disposition of defective assemblies, subassemblies and parts; schedules verifications; responsible for the health, welfare, and training of twelve soldiers; responsible for tools valued at $150,000; responsible for billets maintenance and upkeep.

MOS MAINTENANCE 52C/ Utilities Equipment Repairer
Serves as the Engineer section Utilities Equipment Repair supervisor. Supervises and trains 9 soldiers. Plans, organizes, and schedules direct support maintenance activities of HVAC equipment. Applies management principles in establishing priorities and allocating workloads. Controls the requisitioning, storage and inventory of shop equipment, bench stock and publications. Responsible for tools and equipment valued in excess of $300,000.

MOS SIGNAL 25U/ Signal Support Systems Specialist
Shop Foreman of a Forward Direct Support Communications Electronics repair facility. Supervises and trains 12 soldiers who are performing repairs and modifications on computers and other data devices, single channel ground and airborne radio systems, tacfire radar, telephone and wire equipment, night vision sights, and other special electronic devices, responsible for training and directing the set-up and operation of mobile facilities in combat and training environments.

MOS QUARTERMASTER 92A/ Automated Logistical Specialist
Serves as Material Control NCOIC and Storage and Receiving NCOIC of a Forward Support Battalion Class IX warehouse that supports 22 combat maneuver units of 2nd Brigade 1st Infantry Division in the Republic of Korea; supervises eleven subordinates in receiving and storing of 340 lines of ASL valued at over $8,000,000; ensured procedural accuracy in using the Standard Army Retail Supply System-Objective (SARSS-O), the Integrated Logistics Analysis Program (ILAP), and Material Release Order Control System (MROCS).

MOS MAINTENANCE 44B/ Metal Worker
Senior welder for C Co 302d Forward Support Battalion responsible for providing direct support maintenance for the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Republic of Korea; supervises two enlisted welders during daily shop operations; conducts welding and fabrication work in support of four maintenance support teams and three base shops; performs oxygen/acetylene and MIG/TIG welding; accounts for tools, sets, kits and outfits valued in excess of $95,000.

MOS INFANTRYMAN 11B/ Asst Operations Sergeant
Duties and Responsibilities: The soldier selected for this position will advise the commander on training, logistics, personnel and unit mobilization readiness requirements and ensures that the unit develops, updates and maintains comprehensive mobilization plans including preparation of units COMPASS and AUEL reports, vehicle load plans, unit movement plans, convoy clearance requests, preparation of the Annual Post Mobilization Training Support Report, the Unit Alert Roster and the unit Home Station Activities list and ensuring that the unit is POM/POR qualified. Reviews and implements mobilization directives and regulations. Obtains all required data for the unit status report and assists the commander in preparing readiness reports. Monitors Equipment on Hand (EOH) and the Equipment Readiness (ER) status of the unit and keeps the commander informed on these issues. Attends all unit training assemblies. Performs other duties as assigned.

MOS INFANTRYMAN 11B/ Asst Operations Sergeant
Responsible for the morale, logistics support, and training of a 24 man Quick Reaction Force; responsible for the maintenance, accountability, and effective utilization of all assigned weapons, night observation devices, communications equipment, vehicles, and individual equipment worth over $350,000; counsels, disciplines, and develops soldiers and NCOs into competent leaders; maintains the highest state of combat readiness regardless of conditions and personnel changes.

MOS CHEMICAL 74D/ NBC Operations NCO
Senior NCO in charge of all NBC operations in an Area Support Group consisting of four geographically remote Base Support Battalions; responsible for planning and implementing NBC operational contingencies for over 2,000 soldiers; responsible for fielding new NBC equipment, monitoring NBC training, and conducting NBC command inspections; principal assistant for the day to day logistical operations of the group and reporting procedures supporting four communities of over 40,000 civilian and military personnel.

MOS FIELD ARTILLERY 13F/ Fire Support Specialist
Company Fire Support Sergeant in a Ranger Battalion with no-notice worldwide deployment contingency missions; principal enlisted advisor to the Company Fire Support Officer; plans and coordinates all fire support for the company, to include attack helicopters, naval gunfire, close air support, mortars, and field artillery. Responsible for the health and welfare, training, and operational readiness of twelve soldiers; responsible for equipment valued in excess of $700,000. Performs the duties of the Company FSO in his absence.
