Special Forces Engineer Sergeant
Serves as a Special Forces Engineer Sergeant on a Special Forces Operational Detachment - Alpha (ODA); trains supervises, leads, plans and instructs all phases of combat engineering and special operations engineering during combat operations; advises the Detachment commander and foreign forces on all matters concerning Special Operations engineering tactics; prepares and constructs training resources to support SFODA training and operations; participates in the planning and execution of Unconventional Warfare (UW) missions and Humanitarian Missions; responsible for the maintenance and care of over $50,000.00 worth of engineering equipment.


Special Forces Engineer Sergeant
Serves as a Special Forces Engineer Sergeant attached to a Navy SEABEE unit; organizes, advises, and assists U.S. Navy, allied, and indigenous personnel on the operation and maintenance of engineer assets in defensive and offensive operations; performs demolitions and explosives placement; supports sabotage operations with standard and improvised explosives; creates and uses improvised munitions; leads mine and countermine operations and identifies and clears U.S. and foreign landmines; oversees construction, field fortification, and civil action projects; interprets maps, overlays, photos, and charts; collects and disseminates engineer intelligence data.


Engineer Section Noncommissioned Officer
Serves as the Engineer Section Noncommissioned Officer in a Special Forces detachment; plans, executes, and supervises construction missions in support of the Special Forces mission; coordinates with the Group Engineer for prioritization of projects; responsible for the welfare, training, and employment of an 12 man Engineer Section comprised of carpenters, electricians, and plumbers to support operations in both garrison and combat; supervises maintenance and accountability of over $1.3 million in equipment, inluding four different types of engineer heavy vehicles, construction tools kits and outfits, and mine detection equipment.
