MOS 18C, Special Forces Engineer Awards

Outstanding achievement as an equipment operator from XXXXXXX to XXXXXXXX. Specialist Logan's diligence, hard work and commitment to his Platoon while performing as an equipment operator successfully completed equipment operations on the Special Forces Wounded Warrior Obstacle Course. Specialist Logan mixed, distributed, and placed over 38,000 pounds of concrete and utilized his skills as a senior equipment operator to train and supervise other soldiers on the project. With his keen skills and knowledge, he supervised the completion of 3 drainage ditches and the standing up of 5 significant obstacles. Specialist Logan's dedicated service made a significant contribution to the future of combat operations and reflects credit upon himself, 264th Engineer Clearance Company, 27th Engineer Battalion and the United States Army.




PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES WHILE SERVING AS ENGINEER FOR ALFA SQUAD, SEAL TEAM EIGHTEEN FROM 15 JULY 2017 TO 20 JUNE 2018. SERGEANT ACEVES ASSISTED THREE SQUAD MEMBERS IN COMPLETING AND OBTAINING HELICOPTER ROPE SUSPENSION TECHNIQUES (HRST/C) MASTER QUALIFICATION. DURING ARES JOURNEY 2017, HE ADAPTED A FOREIGN AIRFRAME TO SAFELY TRAIN AND CONDUCT INDIVIDUAL ITERATIONS: 210 ON RAPPEL AND 277 ON FAST ROPE IN DAY, NIGHT, STATIC, AND HELICOPTER EVOLUTIONS. IN ADDITION, HE EXECUTED 47 HIGH-RISK TRAINING EVOLUTIONS, FACILITATED LOGISTICAL MOVEMENT OF MISSION CRITICAL GEAR AND ENGINEER TRAINING AIDS TO SUPPORT TWO LIVE FIRE RANGES WHILE MAINTAINING 100% SAFETY COMPLIANCE. SERGEANT ACEVES' EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE, PROFESSIONALISM, AND DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECT GREAT CREDIT ON HIM, THE SEAL TEAM PARTNER PROGRAM AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.

CORPORAL BOSTICK DEMONSTRATED DEDICATION TO DUTY, SERVING IN CRITICAL LEADERSHIP ROLES INCLUDING 3RD SECTION LEADER IN SIX ITERATIONS OF OPERATION LAVA VIPER AND FIVE ITERATIONS OF OPERATION ISLAND VIPER. THROUGH HIS EXCEPTIONAL CHARACTER AND FLAWLESS MOS EXPERTISE, CORPORAL BOSTICK'S LEADERSHIP PROVED CRUCIAL IN SUPPORTING EIGHT UNIT DEPLOYMENT WORK UP CYCLES AS WELL AS SUPPORTING 3D MARINE REGIMENT. ADDITIONALLY, HIS LEADERSHIP PROVED CRUCIAL IN SUPPORTING THE INFANTRY BATTALIONS IN THEIR UNIT DEPLOYMENT WORK UP CYCLES WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY SUPPORTING THE 3D MARINE REGIMENT. FOR OUTSTANDING MERITORIOUS SERVICE WHILE SERVING AS THE COMMANDING OFFICER, 4TH COMBAT ENGINEER BATTALION, 4TH MARINE DIVISION, MARINE FORCES RESERVE, FROM APRIL 2011 TO AUGUST 2013. DURING THIS PERIOD OF HIGH OPERATIONAL TEMPO, PERSONNEL DEPLOYMENTS, AND KEY BILLET TURNOVER, LIEUTENANT COLONEL HILL WAS CHALLENGED WITH MEETING THE DEMANDS OF PROVIDING TWO COMBAT ENGINEER COMPANIES TO SUPPORT OPERATIONS IN AFGHANISTAN WITH OVER 160 MARINES, THREE OUTSIDE THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES, BILATERAL EXERCISES WITH AFRICAN FORCES, AFRICAN LION 2011 AND 2012, AND EASTERN ACCORD 2013. HIS FORESIGHT AND PREPARATION TO PROVIDE READY, RELEVANT, AND DEPLOYABLE FORCES RESULTED IN NUMEROUS ACCOLADES FROM SUPPORTED UNITS TO INCLUDE REGIMENTAL COMBAT TEAM-TWO, FOR THE CONSUMMATE PROFESSIONALISM OF THE BATTALION'S MARINES DURING THESE OPERATIONS. ADDITIONALLY, HE WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN GROWING THE CAPABILITY AND NUMBERS OF THE BATTALION'S OFFICER CORPS BY FILLING CRITICAL BILLETS WHICH RESULTED IN A 90 PERCENT FILL OF THE BATTALION'S REQUIRED OFFICER BILLETS WITH THE APPROPRIATE RANK AND MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY. LIEUTENANT COLONEL HILL'S RELENTLESS EFFORTS TO CARRY OUT HIS DEMANDING TASKS WITH UNFAILING JUDGMENT, EFFECTIVENESS, AND TOTAL DEVOTION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND WERE IN KEEPING WITH THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE MARINE CORPS AND THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE.
