19C2O Bradley Gunner
Serves primarily as a Bradley Fighting Vehicle gunner in an Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT); responsible for the training, discipline, health, welfare, morale, professional development, and combat readiness of one enlisted Soldier; supervises the maintenance and supply accountability of one M2A3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle and associated section MTOE equipment valued in excess of $2,500,000.


Bradley Gunner
Performs primary duties as gunner and secondary duties as Bradley Commander; prepares sketch and range cards; operates main gun controls and firing controls; adjusts fire; fires main gun; prepares radio equipment for operation and enters net; operates internal communication equipment; assists Bradley commander in training Bradley crew; prepares, files, and distributes operations maps, situation maps, and overlays; reads and interprets maps and aerial photographs; records information on maps and overlays; indicates location, strength, tactical deployment, and emplacement of friendly and enemy units; marks vehicle routes on maps and overlays; reproduces, distributes, and files operations orders and plans; inspects Bradley turret and automotive components for malfunctions; assists in the performance of unit maintenance of automotive components; assists in maintaining the gunnery proficiency of subordinate gunners; supervises ammunition resupply operations to include request, receipt, storage, inspection, and issue of ammunition within armor units.






MOS 19C Bradley Crewmember

Major Duties. Bradley Crewmembers exploit the capabilities of their equipment to find, fix, close with, and destroy the enemy through a combination of mobility and precise, lethal, and overwhelming firepower. Duties for MOS 19C at each level of skill are:

MOSC 19C10. Performs duties as a driver on an M2 series Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV); moves and positions the BFV; searches for covered and concealed routes and covered positions to move to if the BFV is engaged; maintains the vehicle's position in formation and watches for visual signals; monitors the steer-to indicator, if equipped, and understands and applies the best tactical route; assists the gunner and BFV commander by scanning for targets and sensing fired rounds during engagements; responsible for the load plan and overall maintenance of the vehicle; serves as a carrier driver in the Armored Assault Company HQ platoon.

MOSC 19C20. Performs duties as a gunner on an M2 series Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV); searches for targets; aims and fires the M242 Bushmaster coaxial machine gun and TOW ATGM; supervises and assists with the overall maintenance of the vehicle, fire control system, and armament; maintains accountability of all associated equipment; performs manual inputs and manipulation of the fire control system through the gunner's control panel; assumes the role of the BFV commander when necessary; maintains the communication and internal control systems; trains and develops subordinates; serves as a gunner at all echelons.

MOSC 19C30. Performs duties as a commander on an M2 series Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV); maintains qualification on BFV weapon systems, requesting indirect fires, integration of direct fires with dismounted personnel, and executing land navigation using both digital systems and terrain association; briefs crew and directs movement of the BFV; supervises initial first-aid treatment and evacuation of wounded crewmembers; ensures the welfare of the crew; lays the gun for direction, issues fire commands, and controls the vehicle's direct fires; prepares graphic overlays and detailed combat reports using analog and digital communications; conducts quartering party activities, passage of lines, and CBRN operations; trains crew on the maintenance and accountability of assigned equipment and the tactical employment of the BFV; understands the unit's mission and the commander's intent; maintains situational awareness by using optics for observation and monitoring radio transmissions and digital displays; responsible for ensuring equipment is secured properly per unit load plans or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); fosters crew cohesion and ensures medical and administrative readiness of the crew; serves as a Master Gunner.

MOSC 19C40. Performs duties of a Platoon Sergeant; performs duties of the Platoon Leader in their absence; assists and advises the Platoon Leader; mentors crewmembers and other NCOs on the tactical and technical employment of the platoon's assigned equipment; supervises the platoon's administration, logistics, maintenance, and individual training; makes recommendations on all promotions and reductions, assignments, and discipline of NCOs and enlisted Soldiers in the platoon; updates the Platoon Leader on appropriate reports and forwards any reports needed to higher echelons; takes charge of task organized elements in the platoon during tactical operations, including quartering parties and support elements; serves as a Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV) commander when the platoon is mounted; monitors the morale, discipline, and health of platoon members; coordinates and supervises resupply operations; collects, prepares, and forwards logistic status updates and requests to the First Sergeant; ensures ammunition and supplies are properly and evenly distributed after the platoon consolidates on the objective and while the platoon reorganizes; ensures support supplies are present; directs the platoon's casualty evacuation (CASEVAC) process; maintains platoon strength information; consolidates and forwards the platoon's casualty reports and receives and orients replacements; monitors the commander's tactical display to maintain awareness of the platoon's positions relative to the company formation; maintains accountability for the training, discipline, and welfare of the Soldiers in the platoon; coordinates the platoon's sustainment requirements and supports the needs of individual Soldiers; serves as a Master Gunner.
