31A Military Police Officer Duty Description

Corrections Platoon Leader
Performs duties as a Platoon Leader in a Corrections Military Police Company; provides ready correctional force Soldiers who are responsible for the care, custody, and control of over XXX inmates at the United States Disciplinary Barracks (USDB); responsible for the readiness, health, morale, welfare, and development of XX Soldiers and XX Non-Commissioned Officers; responsible for the platoon's full implementation of the Commander's programs including: Training Management, Maintenance, Safety, Physical Security, Personnel, EO, and SHARP; responsible for the accountability, security and maintenance of over $450,000 worth of government equipment.



Brigade Executive Officer
Serves as the Brigade's Executive Officer. Responsible for establishing and enforcing staff procedures, ensuring the Commander and the staff are informed on matters affecting the Command and individual staff responsibilities, and assembling and supervising the staff during MDMP (Military Decision Making Process); ensures information flow between the staff and Commander on staff recommendations, Commander's intent, CCIR, and the Commander's decisions; establishes and enforces planning timelines; supervises the Command Post and its operations; enforces standing operating procedures; supervises deployment of the Brigade; ensures adequacy of the Brigade's logistics.



Force Protection Officer
Serves as principal staff officer responsible for the anti-terrorism and force protection measures within the command; advises the commander of security measures to enable garrison, base-camp or unit operating location operations; tracks and identifies trends in crime activities; crafts protection strategies that are reflected in the concept of protection included in the base order and appropriate annexes and appendixes; identifies and recommends refinements to the COA that are necessary to reduce vulnerability; ensures mission success by combining efforts and mitigating measures with the Chaplain, Surgeon, EO, SHARP, MRT, Safety, military police, engineer, and signal staff sections.



Corrections and Detention Operations Officer (C/D OPS OFF)
The Corrections and Detention Operations Officer is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, supervising, training, coordinating, and reporting activities when conducting operations involving detainees.



Law-Order Operations Officer (L/O OPS OFF)
Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, supervising, training, coordinating, and reporting activities when conducting operations involving law and order.
