35L30/40 Counterintelligence (CI) Agent as a CI Instructor
Serves as an Instructor/Writer for the US Army's Counterintelligence Officer Course (CIOC), which trains Officers, Warrant Officers, Military Intelligence Civilian Excepted Career Program (MICECP) personnel and Department of the Army Civilians in all facets of US Army Counterintelligence (CI); responsible for accountability; scheduling, and resource management, review and improvement of course instructional materials for field application and compliance with changing doctrine.
Counterintelligence (CI) Special Agent
Serves as a Counterintelligence (CI) Special Agent assigned to a Military Intelligence Battalion; manages CI candidates and facilitates adjudication interviews; conducts CI activities and investigations to detect, identify, and neutralize sabotage, treason, sedition, terrorism, subversion and espionage directed against the Army and support CI Force Protection Source Operations.
Counterintelligence Agent
Acts as a Senior Counterintelligence (CI) agent and Platoon Sergeant for a CI/HUMINT Company; provides leadership, mentorship, and training on Soldier skills to subordinates; maintains accountability and maintenance of assigned equipment; assists in presenting information to superiors through briefings and written reports; remains abreast of Department of Defense, other Service, and National Security topics which influence target issues and regions; conducts or assists in conducting CI support to force protection; designs OPSEC initiatives; prepares and disseminates intelligence reports, briefings, and assessments to answer intelligence requirements.
Counterintelligence Agent
Participate in the planning and supervision of the Counterintelligence (CI) investigations into threats or instances of sabotage, espionage, treason, sedition and terrorism directed against the United States Army; participate in tactical collection of human intelligence (HUMINT) to identify offensive and insurgent threats against deployed U.S. Forces; conduct liaison with supporting agencies; prepare intelligence reports and estimates for dissemination into tactical and national intelligence systems; perform additional duties as assigned.
35L20/30 Counterintelligence (CI) Agent in a Stryker Brigade Combat Team
Serves as a Counterintelligence (CI) Agent in a Stryker Brigade Combat Team; plans and conducts CI investigations; processes CI evidence; consolidates intelligence data, produces and maintains CI analytical products; provides CI/Human intelligence support for multidiscipline counterintelligence products; conducts liaison and coordination with other agencies; prepares CI reports and estimates and performs CI support to threat vulnerability assessments; conducts investigations to detect, identify, assess, counter, exploit and neutralize threats to national security while forward deployed.
MOS 35L - Counterintelligence (CI) Agent
Major Duties. Conducts investigations, operations, collection and reporting, analysis production, and technical services to detect, identify, counter, exploit, or neutralize the Foreign Intelligence Entity (FIE) and international terrorist threat to the Army and Department of Defense (DoD); detects and identifies the CI related insider threat; identifies and counters the collection efforts and activities of foreign adversaries which present a threat to the lives, property, or security of Army forces; ensures that CI activities are conducted according to current law, executive order, and Army and DoD policy.
Duties for MOS 35L at each skill level are:
MOS 35L10. Serves as a CI Agent responsible for CONUS or OCONUS operations; performs duties in support of the Covering Agent Program and the Army's Threat Awareness and Reporting Program (TARP) to Army audiences in the area of operation (AO); responds to incidents, conducts CI investigations, and prepares resulting CI incident and investigative reports; assists in the management of all military CI collections, CI investigations, and Intelligence Information Reports (IIR) produced by CI elements.
MOS 35L20. In addition to all duties at the preceding skill level, serves as a CI Agent responsible for supervising and planning covering agent duties in a given area of operations, CI investigations, and collection of evidence in support of CI investigation activity; plans and conducts aggressive, comprehensive, and coordinated activities worldwide in the five functional areas of investigations, operations, collections, analysis, and production; supervises CI awareness training and develops CI support plans; writes, edits, and disseminates CI reports and plans; processes applications for the CI Agent recruitment program.
MOS 35L30. In addition to all the duties at the preceding skill level, serves as CI Sergeant responsible for supervising and planning covering agent duties in a given area of operations, CI investigations, and collection of evidence in support of CI investigation activity; plans and conducts aggressive, comprehensive, and coordinated activities worldwide in the five functional areas of investigations, operations, collections, analysis and production; supervises CI awareness training; and develops CI support plans. Writes, edits, and disseminates CI reports and plans; processes applications for the CI Agent recruitment program.
MOS 35L40. In addition to all the duties in the preceding skill levels, serves as the Senior (CI) Sergeant; manages and supervises all CI activities and special investigative collection techniques; reviews CI related reports and plans; writes, edits, and submits requests for special investigative techniques and special operational concepts; performs CI Coordinating Authority (CICA) and 2X staff management for subordinate CI elements; provides technical control and oversight; conducts source and operational management; manages the CI Agent recruitment program.
