NCOIC, Blood Donor Center
Serves as Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) for Blood Donor Center; responsible for personal and professional development for three Petty Officers Third Class, two Corporals, and four junior Service Members; ensures compliance with regulatory agencies such as Joint Commission (JCO), Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies (AABB), and Food and Drug Administration (FDA); manages contracts and supply budgets valued at $4.1 million and equipment valued at $850,000; coordinates monthly work schedules for 20 staff members, oversees daily operations and monitors inventory of blood and blood products valued at $1.1 million.
NCOIC, Fort Bragg Blood Donor Center
Manages and oversees the Fort Bragg Blood Donor Center and the Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP); supervises a staff of 13 medical and administrative personnel; collects, processes, stores, distributes, and transfuses blood products worldwide; provides quality blood products for service members, veterans, and their families in both peace and war; liaisons with other services to provide blood for deploying service members and local patients; estimates the demand for blood products and provides required resources to meet mission requirements; maintains a contingency shelf for deploying forces from Fort Bragg; maintains a patient care shelf at Womack Army Medical Center; coordinates with and supports the needs of other agencies within the ASBP and the DoD; works closely with civilian counterparts in times of need.
