Current Operations (CUOPS) Awards

Chief Warrant Officer Collin Odenweller is most strongly recommended for the Army Commendation Medal due to his exceptional service as Assistant Current Operations Officer, for the 157th Infantry Brigade, from 10 April 2021 to 15 May 2026. His leadership and performance contributed to the success and functioning of the Current Operations section of the S3 shop.

CW2 Odenweller's dedication to the mission was vital to CUOPS. He served as the Assistant Operations Officer composed of three NCOs and one Officer. He performed his duties exceptionally well, making him essential to accomplishing the mission. He was also made the S3 Special Projects Officer by the S3, a role in which he performed to the highest standards.

CW2 Odenweller created a Step Action Plan format which became the standard for the CUOPS Battle Book. He also developed a streamlined, Knowledge Management System (KMO) on teams which we presently utilize for day to day operations. CW2 Odenweller worked side by side with the Chief of Current Operations and the Brigade Power BI Manager to develop and refine the business rules for the Brigade's digital COP (Common Operating Picture).




While assigned to 2-158 AHB, SGT Fanidi directly supported one NTC rotation. As a PFC, SGT Fanidi operated in both the Current Operations (CUOPS) and Future operations (FUOPS) cells functioning at least two levels above his own to ensure the mission was a success. As the sole member of both cells, he oversaw the completion of 90 O&Is, 120 commander's update products, and 90 successful fire missions.

While assigned to 2-158 AHB, SGT Fanidi directly supported three YTC rotations. SGT Fanidi during two rotations he operated in both the Current Operations (CUOPS) and Future operations (FUOPS) cells functioning as the Non-Commission Officer In Charge (NCOIC) to ensure each mission was a success. As the sole enlisted member of both cells, he oversaw the completion of 30 O&I and 60 commander's update products.




SPC Nutmeg served as the sole Battle Systems Operator for the Air and Missile Defense (AMD) IIIAC CUOPS Command Post. SPC Nutmeg joined the CPXII exercise with the right attitude and leveraged her experience and expertise as a 14G to maintain the Common Air Space picture for all Command Posts and provide current information to Senior Leaders and other Warfighting Functions. Her foresight and relentless follow-up improved situational awareness exponentially and kept all exercise participants appraised on current conditions, enabling mission success. SPC Nutmeg's performance exceeded standards and demonstrated her ability to serve as an effective and future leader in the Air Defense Branch.




OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT WHILE SERVING AS THE CUOPS BATTLE CAPTAIN AND SATCOM COORDINATOR. DURING THIS PERIOD, STAFF SERGEANT TRUDEAU PROVIDED EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP AND SUPPORT TO HIS UNIT AND SOLDIERS AND WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN THE SUCCESSFUL ACCOMPLISHMENT OF TRAINING OBJECTIVES IN A THEATER LEVEL COMMAND FOR A MULTI COMPONENT UNIT. TRAINED AS BATTLE STAFF NCO, HE ALSO DISTINGUISHED HIMSELF BY EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE AS THE CTO, ENSURING ORDERS WERE PROCESSED IN A TIMELY MANNER, AND BY PROVIDEING THEATER WIDE GUIDANCE. IN ADDITION, HE WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN IMPROVING SATCOM COMMUNICATIONS ACROSS THE PACIFIC. STAFF SERGEANT TRUDEAU'S EFFORTS REFLECT DISTINCT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF, THE 311TH HHC, THE 311TH SIGNAL COMMAND (THEATER) AND THE UNITED STATES ARMY.




First Lieutenant Dziubek's outstanding knowledge, insight, and experience as the Battalion CUOP's Officer in Charge in the 2-3 IN Battalion was crucial to the success of the Battalion in its day-to-day knife fight. 1LT Dziubek provided guidance and oversight to two NCOs and two junior Lieutenants while he was in the seat. In charge of capturing the moving T to T+8 window, 1LT Dziubek maintained various trackers, rewrote the CUOPs SOP, and streamlined the Orders process in order to increase efficiency across the Battalion.
