Industrial Power Production Specialist

Outstanding achievement while serving as Industrial Power Production Specialist, Civil Engineer Maintenance, Inspection and Repair Team, Air Force Civil Engineer Center, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida from XXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXXX. During this period, Sergeant Richard Connover led a four member team on a 30-day TDY to Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany where they overhauled 13 MEP series generators for the First Combat Communications Squadron, reviving seven UTCs and saving the Air Force over $500,000. Additionally, his troubleshooting and problem solving skills led to the rapid restoration of Air Force One's Hangar fire suppression system, safeguarding the POTUS' $500,000,000 aircraft. Finally, his technical expertise was demonstrated as he completed 500 inspectable items during a 40K hour engine inspection, ensuring the $5B BMEWS early warning mission remains operational. Sergeant Connover's extraordinary efforts and accomplishments during this period reflect credit upon himself, the Air Force Civil Engineer Center and the United States Army.


Electrical Power Production Specialist

Meritorious service while serving as Electrical Power Production Specialist, 386th Expeditionary Civil Engineering Squadron, 386th Air Expeditionary Wing, Ali Al Salem Air Base from XXXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXXX. During this period, while working as a Power Production Specialist, Sergeant Amy F. Clark developed and implemented the replacement of 36 light carts on Ali Al Salem Air Base with solar powered lights which, over their life-span, will save the Air Force $9,000,000 in fuel and maintenance costs. Additionally, Sergeant Clark traveled with an Expeditionary Prime Beef team to another location to assist with the installation of two BAK-12 systems, supporting a Kuwaiti Air Force exercise with aircraft arresting system support, installing and certifying the two systems in less than 12 hours. Sergeant Clark's extraordinary efforts and accomplishments during this period reflect great credit upon herself, the 386th Expeditionary Civil Engineering Squadron and the United States Army.


Industrial Power Production Specialist

Meritorious service while serving as Industrial Power Production Specialist, Civil Engineer Maintenance, Inspection, and Repair Team, Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), Tyndall AFB, Florida from XXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXX. During this period, Sergeant Jason Stallings' outstanding professional skill, knowledge and leadership aided in the receipt, inventory, and redistribution of 100 tons of excess MEP-12 parts, valued at over 100 million dollars, to vital locations across the Area of Operation. Additionally, Sergeant Stallings' technical prowess lead to the reutilization of antiquated engine components from Offutt AFB to aid in the emergency repair of Thule AFB's dilapidated power plant. His efforts secured $700,000 worth of parts no longer available, allowing AFSPC's ICBM mission to continue without failure. Finally, Sergeant Stallings deployed to Puerto Rico to aid in the recovery of Muniz Air Reserve Base after Hurricane Maria damaged much of the island. He designed and installed an emergency electric grid with six generators, powering seven facilities, 1,500 Soldiers and Airmen, and five C-130 aircraft. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Stallings reflect credit upon himself, the Civil Engineer Maintenance, Inspection and Repair Team and the United States Army.


Power Production Specialist

Meritorious service while serving as Power Production Specialist, 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron, 1st Special Operations Wing, Hurlburt Field, Florida from XXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXX. During this period, Sergeant Morris Johnson oversaw a 200 thousand dollar project to install a 750 kilowatt generator at the Aerospace and Ground Operations School. His efforts provided critical backup power capabilities to a 2.5 million dollar war simulator that supports 200 thousand joint warriors per year. Additionally, during the Wing's Unit Inspection, Sergeant Johnson prepositioned electrical equipment and assisted in constructing the cantonment area, directly contributing to an overall "Excellent" rating for the Wing. Finally, Sergeant Johnson took the lead during Power Production's 2018 generator audit. He tediously reviewed over 370 records and eliminated three discrepancies on the spot and kept power production within compliance. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Johnson reflect great credit upon himself, the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron, and the United States Air Force.


PIIT Boss

SSG Tesla served as a Pre-Installation Inspection Team Boss in support of the National Response Framework mission. SSG Tesla participated in over 15 NRF missions, six NRF Validation Exercise, and two Regional Power Management Exercises. During these missions he validated over 250 assessments. He instructed and assessed over 20 trained ACI contractors on proper assessment techniques in Puerto Rico. His efforts were instrumental in providing emergency power to critical lifesaving and life sustaining facilities.
