For exceptionally meritorious service as an Instructor and Surveillance Module Chief while assigned to Alpha Company, 309th Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Huachuca, Arizona, from 20 September 2023 to 14 August 2025. Warrant Officer Watson led 15 instructors, executing eleven surveillance iterations, certifying 570 intelligence warfighters, and enhancing training proficiency by more than twenty percent. He completed 320 instruction hours, mentored at-risk Soldiers, and developed critical training innovations. He earned the Senior Army Instructor Badge in 14 months, graduated Summa Cum Laude, and led a record-breaking AER campaign, securing fifty percent of post contributions. His leadership and dedication significantly improved intelligence training, Soldier readiness, and mission success.
During a period of 75% understaffing, Master Sergeant Iverson single-handedly maintained mission-critical operations by executing the duties of four intelligence analyst positions with dedication and expertise. His superior analytical abilities directly contributed to the seizure of over one million dollars in U.S. currency, 17 weapons, and more than 30 pounds of illicit narcotics. Sergeant Iverson's investigative support proved instrumental in a successful multi-state manhunt operation with the U.S. Marshals Service, resulting in the apprehension of a high-priority drug trafficker. Additionally, he trained two Counterdrug analysts and one DEA Analyst while managing multiple duties, including HIDTA warrant reporting, personnel tracking, and inventory management. Furthermore, he performed over 3,000 background checks and provided critical case support to five active investigations, all while maintaining seamless operational continuity.
SERGEANT FIRST CLASS GOMERACH WAS HAND-SELECTED TO LEAD A 19-MEMBER JOINT TASK FORCE, COMPRISED OF ARMY, AIR FORCE, MARINE, AND CIVILIAN CONTRACTORS. HE EXEMPLIFIED DUTY AND LEADERSHIP BY DELIVERING CRITICAL GROUND INTELLIGENCE THAT ENABLED FORTY FOUR BILLION DOLLARS IN MILITARY AID TO UKRAINE, DIRECTLY SUPPORTING MISSION SUCCESS DURING THE RUSSIA-UKRAINE CONFLICT. SERGEANT GOMERACH DEMONSTRATED EXCEPTIONAL INITIATIVE BY FULFILLING 35 HIGH-PRIORITY INTELLIGENCE REQUESTS, INCLUDING A CRITICAL REQUEST FROM A STRATEGIC BRIEFER. HE PROACTIVELY IDENTIFIED AND NARROWED INTELLIGENCE GAPS BY COORDINATING EFFORTS ACROSS SIX AGENCY CENTERS, DIRECTLY SUPPORTING MISSION SUCCESS AND EMBODYING THE ARMY VALUES OF DUTY AND SELFLESS SERVICE.
Major Hill continuously and selflessly assumed leadership positions within the 3300 SIG, DET 1 to ensure the unit's mission was achieved, readiness maintained, and Soldiers taken care of. He served as a leader in all levels of the organization, in each instance improving the unit's performance and laying the groundwork for future leaders to continue the unit's mission to support strategic HUMINT collection. His selfless service and leadership set the standard for officers in the 3300 SIG DET 1.
