Sergeant Crago, although only an E-5 Sergeant, stepped up to fill the role of Squad Leader and with selfless service led the Squad. SSG Mixon served with distinction as an assistant Infantry Platoon Sergeant for Task Force Warrior XXXXXXXXXX through XXXXXXXXXXX in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel. He supervised the efforts of 13 Noncommissioned OfficerS and 26 junior Soldiers in constant motion across a battle space containing over 50,000 civilians and spanning 4 operating sites. His precise judgment and technical skill resulted in his platoon efficiently executing 114 Port Security Missions, 33 Riverine Security Missions, and 21 Fuel Port Missions directly supporting multiple USAFRICOM entities. Sergeant Mixon's diligent efforts and devotion to duty are in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon him, Delta company, 1st Battalion, 153d Infantry Regiment (First Arkansas) and the United States Army.
